Quickstart

This walks the shortest path that produces something real: an account, a project, and an AIRA-generated programme you have reviewed and accepted. Budget about fifteen minutes.

1. Create your account

   Sign up

   Go to spacesync.app and register with your email address, or use a social or single sign-on provider if your organisation has one configured.

   Verify your email

   We send a verification link. It has to be clicked before the account is fully active — if it has not arrived in five minutes, check spam.

   Land in your workspace

   New accounts get a personal workspace on the free plan. Everything below works there.

2. Create a project

   Open My Projects

   It is the first item in the left sidebar.

   Click New project

   Give it a name and a project type — residential, commercial, and so on. The type shapes the defaults AIRA reasons from, so it is worth setting honestly.

   Describe the brief

   A paragraph is enough to start. You are not committing to it — the brief is editable at every later step, and AIRA will ask about the gaps rather than silently inventing answers.

   Attach what you already have

   Site drawings, a client brief, a spreadsheet of areas. Anything you attach becomes context AIRA can read. See Importing files.

3. Run AIRA

Open the project and go to AIRA. It moves through three stages, and you review the output of each before it moves on.

   Context

   AIRA confirms what it understands about the site and the brief, and asks about anything material that is missing. Correct it here — every later stage inherits this.

   Departments

   It proposes the spatial programme: departments, the rooms inside them, and areas. Edit any number, add or remove rooms, then accept.

   Adjacency

   It works out which departments want to be near each other and lays that out as a bubble diagram and a stacking arrangement. Drag things around if you disagree.

The finale is the Boards wall — the whole programme as a set of reviewable boards. From there the work is ready to carry into a drawing.

4. Draw it

Open an iteration and pick a module. SpaceDesign is where most projects go next — draw walls and spaces over the programme, in 2D or 3D. Work saves continuously, and versions let you snapshot a state you might want back.

5. Bring someone in

Invite a colleague from the project header. They will need an account, and the role you give them decides what they can do — see Roles and permissions. Two people can be in the same drawing simultaneously; edits merge live.
