Importing files

What you can bring into a project — briefs, spreadsheets, site boundaries, drawings — and the limits on each.

Imports land in two places: project documents, which become context AIRA can read, and site boundaries, which define the parcel.

Brief and reference documents

PropertyValue
Formats.pdf .docx .xlsx .xlsm .csv .tsv .txt .md
Files per upload5
Size per file10 MB

You can attach these during the new-project wizard or afterwards from the project. Spreadsheets are genuinely useful here — an area schedule as .xlsx or .csv gives AIRA numbers to work from instead of adjectives.

Site boundaries

Accepted as .kml, .kmz, .geojson, .json, .zip or .dxf. The boundary can also be drawn by hand on the map if you have nothing to upload.

Note

SpaceSync records where a boundary came from. A parcel traced by hand and a parcel imported from a survey file are not treated as equally authoritative by later analysis, which is why the provenance is kept.

Images and media

SpaceSheets accepts images and video dropped straight onto the canvas, and can paste spreadsheet cells from the system clipboard as a real table.
