Notifications

The seven categories, the three delivery channels, digests, quiet hours and per-project muting.

Notifications reach you in the app, by email, or as a push notification. What goes where is yours to configure, and the controls are more granular than a single on/off switch.

Categories

Every notification belongs to exactly one of seven categories, and each category has its own channel settings.

CategoryWhat it covers
CollaborationInvitations, members joining or leaving, role changes.
CommentsReplies and mentions on threads you are part of.
AIRAGeneration finishing, proposals waiting for review.
VersioningVersions saved and restored.
BillingSubscription, invoices, token balance.
SecuritySign-ins and other account-security events.
SystemService messages and announcements.

Channels

Each category can be delivered in-app, by email, and by push, independently. Turning email off for Comments does not turn it off for Billing.

Security notifications ignore your preferences

Account-security messages — a sign-in from a new device, for instance — are sent regardless of the channel settings above. That is deliberate: a notification you can switch off is no use as a security alert.

Email digest

Rather than an email per event, you can batch them:

SettingBehaviour
InstantAn email as each notification happens.
DailyOne email a day.
WeeklyOne email a week.
OffNo notification emails at all.

Quiet hours and do not disturb

Set a quiet window and notifications hold until it ends, or switch do-not-disturb on entirely.

Muting a single project

A busy project can be muted on its own, at three levels:

All
Everything from this project. The default.
Mentions only
Only when someone mentions you directly. The usual answer for a project you are peripherally on.
None
Nothing from this project.

Reading them

The notifications list filters by all, unread, mentions and requests — requests being the ones that want an action from you, such as an invitation to accept.
