spAIce site analysis
Site context on a live map — built form, movement, environment and civic infrastructure, with a written synthesis.
spAIce is the site-analysis layer. It puts your parcel on a live map and builds up the context around it — what is already built, how people move, what the environment does, and what civic infrastructure is within reach.
The four families of analysis
- Built form
- The existing fabric around the site — footprints, heights, grain and density.
- Movement
- How the site connects. Streets, transit and reachability, including travel-time isochrones.
- Environment
- Terrain and elevation, and the environmental conditions the design has to answer to.
- Civic
- Amenities, services and institutions in the surrounding area.
The map
Layers are toggled from the chips rail, basemaps are switchable, and an elevation strip reads the terrain across a line you draw. Clicking a feature opens what is known about it.
Asking about the site
There is a question bar over the map. Ask about the site in plain language and the answer is written against the layers actually loaded, rather than from general knowledge about the city.
Note
Written synthesis is generated, so it consumes AI tokens. Panning the map, toggling layers and reading the data do not.
How it relates to AIRA
spAIce studies the surroundings; Project Context establishes the constraints the design must respect — the parcel, the envelope, the statutory limits. They are complementary: spAIce tells you what kind of place this is, Project Context tells you what you are allowed to build in it.
