SpaceSheets
An infinite canvas for sheets, notes, images, tables and comments — the project's working surface.
SpaceSheets is an infinite canvas organised into sheets. It is where drawings get annotated, references get pinned up, area schedules get pasted in, and the team argues about things in writing.
What goes on a sheet
- Shapes and lines — rectangles, lines, freehand pen strokes.
- Text and sticky notes — the annotation layer.
- Images and video — dropped or pasted straight onto the canvas.
- Tables — paste spreadsheet cells from the system clipboard and they arrive as a real table, not a screenshot.
- Comments — anchored to a point on the canvas. See Comments.
Working with sheets
Sheets are the pages of the canvas. Add one with Ctrl+Enter, rename with F2, and move between them with Alt+← / Alt+→. Ctrl+1 fits every sheet in view at once.
Ordering, locking and grouping
| Action | Keys |
|---|---|
| Bring forward / send backward | Ctrl+] / Ctrl+[ |
| Bring to front / send to back | Ctrl+Shift+] / Ctrl+Shift+[ |
| Group / ungroup | Ctrl+G / Ctrl+Shift+G |
| Lock / unlock selection | Ctrl+Shift+L |
| Hide / unhide selection | Ctrl+Shift+H |
| Rotate ±15° (±45° with Shift) | [ / ] |
| Nudge 1px / 10px | Arrows / Shift+Arrows |
Background removal
Select an image and press Shift+B to toggle background removal on it. Useful for dropping a precedent photograph onto a board without its surroundings.
Exporting
Ctrl+Shift+E exports the selection — PNG for graphics, CSV for a table. For whole-sheet and multi-sheet export, see SpaceShow, which shares the same export engine.
Tip
Press F5 to enter present mode and step through the sheets full-screen — useful for a quick internal review without building a presentation.
