Preferences
Theme, project colours, and the difference between a personal display preference and a project setting.
Preferences live under Profile → General. They are yours: changing them does not change what anyone else sees.
Appearance
Light or dark. The choice follows your account, so it holds across devices rather than being pinned to one browser.
Project colours
Each project type carries a pastel colour used on cards and headers. If the defaults do not suit how you scan a busy list, customise the palette here.
Units: personal or project?
This one catches people out
Measurement units are a property of the project, not of you. A project set to Imperial reads in Imperial for everyone in it. Changing it changes it for the whole team — so if a colleague reports that the units 'changed by themselves', somebody changed them on the project.
Units are chosen when the project is created and can be changed later by anyone holding that capability on the project.
